Dermal Fillers - What are they?

Basically they are simple naturally occurring sugars ( Hyaluronic acid ) present in all skin. The sugar level naturally decreases as we age leading to a loss of volume and elasticity of the skin causing lines, dimples, wrinkes and folds.

The sugars attract water when injected into wrinkles and give an immediate effect by softening and in many cases completely eliminating wrinkles, lines and folds.

Our clinic only uses the safest non animal, biodegradable, naturally occuring compounds for its dermal filler products.

They are particularly good in the lower part of the face ( mouth, nasal lines, cheek wrinkles ) where the results from Botox® treatment are often not as good ( Botox® is superb for forehead wrinkles, crows lines and the frown lines above the nose).

The results often last 6 months or more. The product naturally decays and produces no long lasting effects.

Dermal fillers in the lip and nose area can sting a little when first applied. We are able to provide topical anaesthesia routinely at no extra cost and if necessary a full dental block again at no extra cost. The dental block can only be prescribed by a physician a major advantage of our clinics which only use qualified experienced registered medical practitioners.
